At-Work Courses


The course covers identifying anatomy and physiology related to cannulation, correct identification of cannula size and correct procedure used to insert cannula safely. The course also offers the opportunity to practice with hands on practical demonstrations using life like veins.


This course is aimed at nurses whose role includes catheterisation of male, female and suprapubic patients.

This training is used to familiarise delegates with the differences between male and female catheterisation, the reasons for catheterisation and to become accustomed to handling, inserting, changing catheters and on-going care required.

This course includes a practical session on a manikin for male and female patients.

Our nurse trainers will provide all the required equipment to conduct the training on your premises.

Diabetic Training

This course is suitable to those healthcare professionals that are new to diabetes or wishing to refresh their knowledge. It covers essential aspects of diabetes management within a healthcare setting. The course will cover both type 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as treatment and management options, enabling candidates to provide informed care and advice possible to clients and their families.

ECG Training/Interpretation

The ECG course will give staff in healthcare settings the theoretical and practical skills needed when encountering ECG monitoring and traces.

The course is delivered by an experienced cardiac professional.

Emergency First Aid at work (QCF)

Phis course covers how to provide emergency first aid, the principles being relevant both at home and in the workplace.

End of life care

The course will discuss (and offers participants to the opportunity to discuss) the physiological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of care during the end-of-life phase.

Fire training

This course will give you the knowledge you need to understand the risks and hazards associated with fire in the workplace as well as how to effectively control and act upon any likely hazards, appropriate fire fighting equipment and safe evacuation of clients where necessary.

Health and Safety at work

This course will give you the knowledge you need to understand and identify workplace risks and hazards, how to control, act upon and minimise any likely hazards associated with work related illness and injury.

Manual handling

This short course will give you the knowledge you need to understand the risks and how to control and act upon any likely hazards.

Medications Management

Medication Awareness is designed to suit a range of care settings.

Course Outline:

Our Venepuncture training will equip candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to take blood safely and appropriately.

Applicable to Nurses and Health Care Assistants in primary care, the community, hospitals or nursing homes.

This course is interactive and involves a practical session on performing blood tests.
